Yes this sort of opportunity of experiencing proximity with one of the wildest beasts, tigers is unique to Thailand. However it is quite evident when we visited Tiger Kingdom in Phuket that these tige...  more »

We were 2 adults and 3 children 8-11 years. We saw very forward to pet a tiger. Unfortunately, it was all tigers heavily drugged so everyone was sleeping. A small baby tiger that woke up during a shooting was beaten with it for not sitting still. The whole family was saddened after being seen how Tigers were treated. Are you an animal lover so don't go here o support this place.

Located right in the center of Phuket, a perfect place to get a chance to experience being with the big cat. You literally get to touch, play and click pictures with any of the smallest, small, medium and the big cat tigers (yes, that's actually how they have categorized this animal like a commodity which I didn't like). At 900 Baht it is a bit of a pinch to your pocket but it's totally worth when there are only 4k of these left on this planet. You get to go inside only in the cage of the chosen category of tiger while you can click pictures of all the tigers from outside. There's a photographer on hire facility as well if you want the perfect click. There's also a cafe which serves decently priced fast food.

Was debating whether to go or not because we hate animal cruelty and though we would feel really bad by giving them our money. We decided to give it a chance and no regrets. We paid for the small and big tiger and it was awesome. Wish we could have done all of them and stayed longer. While walking we saw a baby tiger in a cage and asked a person who works there (who randomly happened to be the vet of tiger kingdom!!) and we spoke to him for about an hour. The tiger in the cage had just undergone surgery on his leg and that's why he was isolated. The vet explained how tigers are and why they are so calm around people and why they sleep so much (we went at 5pm and they were all super awake and playful because they get fed at 6 and were hungry, it was awesome watching g tigers run around and play with each other and the keepers, who love the tigers a lot and are always playing with them) After reading some reviews I was hesitant to go but it was well worth going. Tigers are well taken care of (yes they have scars and stuff but that's from playing with other tigers). All in all was a great experience and I hope everyone gives them a chance as the money goes for the conservation of this beautiful animal that is becoming endangered.

I'm a big tiger lover and always have been, never did I think I would ever be able to get this close to such a magnificent animal. These tigers are not drugged but have been hand reared and therefore used to be in our company. I'm glad I've visited and happy that I could but sadly know it's the nearest I will get to ever getting that close to a tiger.

Kindly do not support Animal abuse just for getting a "cool" picture.it is highly unlikely that people would be allowed to go near a ferocious animal without it being drugged. Even my dogs get annoyed if we pet them for a long time then imagine those poor animals that have no way out, and are at the mercy of people who seemingly care little about their well being and more about getting the perfect picture for their customers. Buying tickets to this place is supporting animal cruelty. Animal lover or not, I hope everyone rethink their decision to visit this place and if somebody is not sure about the authenticity of all the negative reviews , give the benefit of the doubt to these majestic animals who have been reduced to props in this zoo.
