A flourishing port city and magnet for the spice trade since the 15th century, Kochi (Cochin) proudly bears its distinct international influence and local Keralan culture.
Give yourself a bit of retail therapy at Kochi Books and Centre Square. When in Kochi (Cochin), make a side trip to see Marari Beach in Alappuzha, approximately 1:15 hours away. And it doesn't end there: buy something for everyone on your list at LuLu Mall, take in the exciting artwork at Kashi Art Gallery, look for gifts at Anokhi, and take in the spiritual surroundings of Paradesi Synagogue.

Famous for the groves of coconut trees from which it takes its name, Kovalam offers a long, white sandy beach on the Arabian Sea.
Kick off your visit on the 14th (Sat): kick back and relax at Samudra Beach, kick back and relax at Lighthouse Beach, and then stroll through Kovalam Beach.

Known as the "Pink City" because of the color of the stone used for many of its notable structures, Jaipur draws visitors with its chaotic street life and a slew of colorful bazaars selling everything from handmade pottery to tie-dye scarves.

Getting from Jaipur to Agra by car takes about 3.5 hours. Other options: drive; or take a train. When traveling from Jaipur in January, plan for a bit cooler days in Agra, with highs around 21°C, while nights are about the same with lows around 8°C. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 23rd (Mon) so you can go by car to New Delhi.
