The Museum applies only to two rooms devoted entirely to monet's water lilies. The temporary exhibition was great but the rest of the floor is pretty useless, notable only a small portion devoted to Modigliani

I discovered this place during a temporary exhibition and I was pleasantly surprised by the permanent collection, which consists of very beautiful works of Gauguin, Picasso... a very nice surprise...

It's really a thrill to admire these paintings that fill the walls of two oval halls, so that one has the impression of being immersed in an entirely made of sky, water, plants, light ... But it's not just that fascinates, as being in front of the deepest expression of what has been human history and art by Claude Monet. Certainly the crowd (much) does not help to enjoy the atmosphere, but we happened to get in close to closing time and just moments before we found ourselves alone surrounded by such beauty. Useful purchase tickets online to avoid queuing.

One of the best art/museum experiences I've ever had. Smaller, but on point collection of all the big names in the impressionist and post-impressionist movements. Was super impressed. Highly recommend for anyone that is interested in these two movements.

Small but impressive. I loved seeing Monet's works that he did when he was going blind.

Small, but impressive. The private collection of select artworks of modern masters is simply captivating, even without the well-known masterpieces.

This is a great museum, it is quite small but with all the great, classical and inspiring works of art. All the classics from Monet to Van Gogh to Picasso and more. Plus it has a beautiful setting for Monet's water lilies. Truly enjoyed it. Entrance is 9 euro.

Loved the size of this museum. Made it great see it all with the kids. Best part are the two rooms dedicated to Monet's waterlilies. Beautiful!

Where to stay in Paris

Each of the city’s 20 arrondissements, or districts, has a personality all its own. If you prefer high-end accommodations and to be in the middle of the action, look for lodging in the 1st through the 4th arrondissements. For more affordable lodging and access to major metro lines, try the 12th. The Oberkampf area of the 11th arrondissement has an edgier, more hip vibe. For easy access to tourist sites,  the 16th is within a stone’s throw of the Arc de Triomph and the Eiffel Tower, and the 17th is within walking distance to the Champs-Elysées. Avoid the 18th, 19th, and 20th, because these can be dangerous, especially if you’re not familiar with the city.
