  • I love being in this store, there's a lot of high quality. It's not a store that you might call a inexpensive, on the contrary, but if you search well and devote some time to it, you can find very good things for nice prices. In the food and drink, are unbeatable. I love prospecting there.

  • Dropped in just to see and as high-end department stores go it was up there. All the food smelled really good though. Take a look around, eat some food and maybe buy some expensive stuff. When in Pari...  more »

  • Favorite grocery store in Paris.. hands down.. just beautiful to even walk around in. A bit more expensive than a Monoprix, but.. so beautiful. You should go look at it even if you don't want to buy anything. They have a really great deli area where you can get slices of these meat pie/loaf things.. my husband couldn't stomach the idea, but I LOVED them. Just a good snack with lots of protein. I wish I knew how to make them here at home! Oh also!! They have THE BEST almond croissants I've ever had in my life. Not too dry/flakey & not too wet. I don't know how they do it. It's amazing.
  • La Cave @ Bon Marche & Epicerie is a great choice while shopping at the great place. Located in the basement of the Epicerie, the Italian restaurant offers a nice change of pace. Salads, Pizzas and more at fair prices. Great service too
  • Honestly the best grocer ever. I would fly to Paris to do my shopping here. Well I did do that today I suppose.
  • A food lover's Disneyland. Wow. That's all I can say. Just wow. They have several aisles of yogurts. Myriad butters. A foie gras section. Amazing baked goods. Fantastic selection of wines, cheeses, meats, fruits & vegetables, prepared foods. It's a wonderland of fantastic food. Also, they sell Wine Skins for transporting wine back in your suitcase. My one nit: the "USA" section doesn't paint a pretty (nor accurate) picture of the American diet.... Reese's peanut butter cups, popcorn, cake mixes, Hershey's syrup, beef jerky, Campbell's soup, Pop Tarts... basically a bunch of junk food most Americans don't need to survive. A little odd, that section. Other than that, I love the place. Prices are reasonable on some things, outrageous on others. Example: a Coke costs 0€85 while a can of planters peanuts from the USA section costs 17€. The Coke is a steal compared to other places. The nuts are a rip-off. So, just check the prices. Don't get taken. Overall, the prices weren't outrageous.
  • THE place to go shopping if you want high-end groceries in Paris. The place is huge and has an amazing selection.

Where to stay in Paris

Each of the city’s 20 arrondissements, or districts, has a personality all its own. If you prefer high-end accommodations and to be in the middle of the action, look for lodging in the 1st through the 4th arrondissements. For more affordable lodging and access to major metro lines, try the 12th. The Oberkampf area of the 11th arrondissement has an edgier, more hip vibe. For easy access to tourist sites,  the 16th is within a stone’s throw of the Arc de Triomph and the Eiffel Tower, and the 17th is within walking distance to the Champs-Elysées. Avoid the 18th, 19th, and 20th, because these can be dangerous, especially if you’re not familiar with the city.
